Located on the rolling plains of southwestern North Dakota, Flying O
Ranch is the home of a breeding program that focuses on
trainability, athletic ability, and speed while utilizing the
bloodlines of today's exceptional Paints, Quarter Horses and
Thoroughbreds. It's a ranch that
has been in our family for three generations....and the horses have always
had an important part in the composition of that ranch.
Selected for their outstanding pedigrees, conformation, performance
records, and disposition, the stallions compliment our great broodmare band.
Some of the bloodlines represented are Dash for Cash, Splash Bac, Shawne Bug, Indians Image, Treasured Too,
Special Task, Easy Jet, Bullys On Fire, Shoot Yeah, Strawflyin Buds, Red Eye Special, Star Look, Bridlewood,
Western Native, Mr. Premium Smoke and many more World Champions and
producers of Champions.
Flying O Ranch horses are winning competitors locally, regionally, and
nationally in barrel racing, team roping, calf roping, and
even dressage! The proof is in the babies, and we're as pleased as
we can be with their accomplishments.
Browse the site, get in touch with us.....we'd love to talk to you about
horses.
Check out our 2008 foals page! We have a
great selection of super colts!
Thanks to everyone that helped to make
2007 a great year. We wish you the best with your Flying O Ranch
horses in 2008.

News! News! News!
Our 2008 foal crop will include babies
by our recently purchased buckskin stallion, Basic Black Spruce AQHA, who is a son
of Mr. Basic Black! We expect that this exceptionally kind and good
minded family will cross very well with our speed bred mares. Info about his outstanding family follows:
Mr. Basic Black is an AQHA points earner in reining,
and is a son of:
Checkmate King Glo who carried Craig Johnson (famed
reining trainer) to an AQHA World Championship in the Junior Reining
Horse category, and was a Texas Heritage Reining Champion. His
sire, Mr. Joe Glo is an AQHA World Champion, Superior Pleasure
Horse, Superior Halter and Performance Sire, Winner of NRHA Futurity
Superstakes, a World Champion sire, and an AQHA Leading Performance Horse
Sire. His offspring have earnings of $7268, NCHA, and $182,864 NRHA. The dam of Mr. Basic Black, Blue Gracie, is also the dam
of Sarah Solano, Italian Reining Futurity champion and winner of the
Italian Reining Derby.
This is only a part of what's new and
exciting here on the ranch. Check in often for updates on the horses
in competition in 2008. They're going places!
