daughter of Cherokee Treasured, who is the sire of this year's
APHA World Show Junior Barrels winner, this colt should mature
into an outstanding individual. His pedigree includes proven
barrel sire, Western Bugs, AA race, ROM heading and heeling, Western
Native, undefeated World Champion Race, Shawne Bug, leading sire,
Treasured, one of racing's leading sires and money winners, Big
Country, son of World Champion Star Look.........'nuff said! Except
his spotting pattern would indicate that he could be
homozygous. (We intend to have him tested.) He's athletic,

In addition to being a proven barrel sire, Flashy Bugs is also a
half brother to Southwest Deco, one of the Midwest's winning
dressage horses shown by Underhill Farms and owned by Jane Quandt of
Minnesota. We decided to breed this beautiful brown TB mare to
Flashy Bugs hoping for a dressage or English prospect......and here
she is--uniquely marked, she certainly has the TB influence under
her fancy spotted coat! Her mother is a calm and quiet TB mare that
raced successfully until she retired prior to coming here.
She's a big mare, a graceful flat kneed mover, with huge kind eyes,
and beautiful conformation. This filly is going to be eye
catching....the kind that a judge will look at twice in the show
ring.....and with her parents both having excellent dispositions and
good minds, she will be most trainable. |

We knew that Rock Climb's foals would be nice---but this one exceeds
the requirements for 'nice.' He's a beautiful mover, has
excellent bone and muscle, a beautiful head with an interesting
marking splashing through it.........and that TB elegance.
Before a horse can be a good horse in a 'color breed' such as Paint,
it needs to be a good horse in a solid color, and this colt proves
to us that Rock Climb is going to sire good horses.......solid
colored or Paint!! Watching his foals run and turn, and seeing how
lightly their feet touch the ground, we feel that Rock Climb has a
big future as a sire of Paint and Quarter Horse timed event
prospects. On the dam's side, Little Country Bug is out of a full
sister to barrel sire Flashy Bugs, and by our son of World Champion
Star Look. This one's for sale (well, that's a maybe because
he won't be if my husband sees this page before he's
sold).........Priced at $950. How often do you
really think a grandson of Gulch can be purchased for that??
