2010 Foals
Another summer is almost over! And at last the 2010 foals have a slideshow for the website. This years' babies are super nice. They're outstanding individuals out of some of our favorite mares and sired by Basic Black Spruce. The "Sprucelings" as we call them, are proving to be just what we'd hoped--exceptionally nice looking, kind, smart, athletic, quick, easy to own and train. Each one that has entered training has progressed quickly and with minimal training issues......they're not buckers or horses that require endless training hours to gain retention of their education. To date, 100% of the "Sprucelings" sold by Flying O Ranch have gone to very happy owners.
Here's a list of the babies presented in the slideshow. I hope you enjoy seeing them, and when one of them catches your eye, please contact me about pricing, delivery arrangements, and possible payment plans. My email address is at the bottom of this page. Thank you.
Endless Cash AQHA (Roll the Cash x Pie in the Sky daughter) has a beautiful bay/brown filly. She's one of those babies that it's nearly impossible to fault.....beautiful sloping shoulder, pretty neck, keen head, big hip, and perfect legs. Combining the reining horse bloodlines with the race paid off in a big way. I think she's destined for success as a performance horse. She'd be my pick if I were looking for a great all around prospect...a horse I could ride on the ranch during the week, go trail riding if I wanted to, and still feel good about taking her to a weekend competition. She IS that nice.
Sixy Splashin Baby AQHA(Splash Bac x Streakin Six daughter) made us wait until the end to see her baby, but he was worth the wait. Her bay/brown colt is great......nice enough that Paul picked him as a keeper for a ranch horse replacement for himself. The colt is a beautiful mover, flat kneed, long strided, and incredibly elegant looking. All things that are important to a middle aged rancher (with a bad back) who still needs/wants to ride a horse!
KAB Bruisers by Golly APHA, our Tru Bruiser daughter, had a solid filly, but what a gorgeous girl she is! What she lacks in spots, she makes up in pure class. From the tip of her perfect nose to the end of her coal black tail, this girl is fancy. She's tall, very well put together, has pretty gaits, and should be a super nice rider. This filly qualifies for 4-H discounts. Please contact me for details and a contract. She's very reasonably priced, and will be a head turner in 4-H competition..........or in APHA Shows! Tru Bruiser is the sire of APHA's All Time Leading Point Winner A Tru Rolex...you can't go wrong with this filly.
Proper Etiquette, my favorite TB mare and daughter of leading sire Proper Reality, had a gorgeous bay/brown filly. Her name is Juniper! Juniper is everything her beautiful mother is and more. I can't say enough of good things about this elegant beautiful moving filly...she's perfect with her exquisite head, long slim neck, pretty hip, short back. Her full sister is in Rhode Island and I'm getting rave reviews from her owner.
Special Jules AQHA, daughter of Red Eye Special AAAT, had a cool buckskin colt......he's a dark smutty color exactly like his sire. Big hipped, fancy looking, and bred to be an athlete, he's going to be an outstanding mount for someone that really wants a horse that's special. His dam's sire came to us when he was nearing retirement age, but we were fortunate enough to raise a beautiful mare by him. If you're looking for an arena prospect, this guy's worth a look...or more.
Hug Ye Angel AQHA, daughter of AAAT Angels Policy, and out of a good Merganser daughter, has a bright bay filly that's just about perfect. This one says barrel horse.....just look her over! Cute head, pretty neck, powerful hip and shoulder.......she's going to turn heads and stop clocks. One of her half sisters Secret Goldmine is in training and progressing beautifully......bloodlines don't lie, and these two race families combined with the trainability of the reining horse has produced a good one.
Sweet Country Melody APHA, a daughter of winning sire Big Country APHA and out of Special Melody a race ROM producer, has a black/brown tobiano filly that is perfect! Her beautiful face is accented by some wild markings, she's built like the performance horse that she's bred to be. This one is going to make a new owner very very happy. Qualifies for 4-H discounts to approved 4-H members. Contact me for a contract or more information.
